Rudraksha Handcrafted Fair Trade Prayer Bracelet
Handcrafted Rudraksha Prayer Bracelet
The traditional materials of our beads are said to have curative and balancing qualities. All of our bracelets are strung on elastic to fit all sizes and made by our Fair Trade cottage industry partners. The term "Rudraksha" has been derived from the combination of two Sanskrit words, Rudra meaning "Lord Shiva" and ashka meaning tears. Based on Vedic and Buddhist traditions, the large bead represents the teacher or teachings, and is called the Meru Bead, named after the mystical mountain named Meru. Also based on these same traditions, the Rudrashka beads are said to bring the wearer health, happiness and success, and to facilitate meditation.
